Do I look like a big boy or what??

Ok, so I've come a long way this month. These are the things I've done and said this month:

I can walk around on my tip toes, I can walk around the house with a ball or stuffed toy between my legs and I can walk down the stairs holding the hand rail.

I can say apple juice, yellow, stairs, up, down, bubbles, weeee, toes, ball game and pee-pee. I can say "2", "V" and "E".

Over the river and thru the woods to grandmother's house we go

Ok, maybe not over the river but how about "over the beltway and to the outlet mall we meet grandma." :) So mommy and daddy drove me to the Gettysburg outlet mall to meet up with Grandma and Granddad. Ms. Lusine is out of town this week so I'm going to stay with grandma and granddad so mommy and daddy don't have to take off work. It's going to be a fun week. I like going to Ms. Lusine's house. I like playing with the girls and all but I LOVE going to grammy's. She has a huge yard and I can run and run and run.

My 3rd haircut.

Here's a photo of me before my cut. Since this is my 3rd cut mommy didn't go crazy with the cam corder and pictures. She didn't even get an after photo. It really wasn't much of a cut. Mainly a trim around the ears and in the back. I really wasn't in the mood to sit still long enough for Ms. Vicki to really give me a big boy haircut. Maybe next time.

The dreaded lab

Today is the dreaded day. Mommy and daddy both took me for a drive. I should have figured out that something was up because it's Thursday and daddy should be at work by now. They made an appt for me and before I knew it I was sitting in daddy's lap with my arm out and a rubber band around it. The lady walked toward me with a skinny pointy thing and WOW!!!! I got pricked.

Mommy tried to distract me as the blood was filling up the vile. What?? Another vile. She switch out the vile twice while I cried, smiled, starred and wondered why is this happening to me. Again, mommy is heart broken. Although she was proud of me for being such a big boy, she hated the fact that they took 3 viles of blood from me. They told mommy and daddy, just keep the bandaid on for 1 hour and keep me hydrated. Mommy hopes these tests are so worth it.

So we ended up driving daddy to work since we could HOV it up north. It didn't take long before I was waving bye to daddy. Off to work he goes. Hi-ho, hi-ho, hi-ho!

Itchy Itchy ITCHY!!!

So, I had to goto the allergist today. Ms. Lusine called mommy and told her I was scratching like crazy so mommy had to come and get me. My legs and body were all red. I scratched up my back and ankles. Mommy just didn't know what happened??? She's so confused. So she called the peditrician office and they had no openings for me to get looked at. Mommy started to get frustrated. So she called the allergist and said that I was there last Tuesday and I was all broken out. Mommy didn't know if I got any to anything or if I was having some sort of reaction. The allergist took me in and looked me over. She ended up prescribing 2 medicines. Both will take the redness down and help up all my scratch marks which are inflamed. Mommy has to follow the meds for 10 days and hopefully everything gets cleared up and I get back to normal.

I'm itching like CRAZY!!!

Another doctor appt.

Thank goodness this was a pain free doctor. Today mommy and I went to the pediatric eye doctor to check out my eyes. Ever since I was a baby, my eyes dilate different. So every 6 months I come back and get them checked out to make sure everything is ok. So the doctor took a look. I tried to hold still but when you wave a light in front of my eyes, I gotta grab it. The doctor is real cool. He had some toys to distract me when he checked me out. And guess what??? He found nothing so I don't have to every go back again, unless mommy sees any drooping in my eyes.

Mommy thought I would skate thru this appt. I always look up in the sky, point at planes when I see them and yell out plane. So I had to at least be able to see far away. Again, a great visit and I don' t have to go back. YEA!

This year we got to celebrate Aunt Wendy's birthday in person. We had a good time.

Walking down the stairs

Today I showed mommy and daddy that I can walk down the stairs upright holding the rail all by myself. Mommy and daddy cringed as I did it but I showed them, as long as you hold the rail and walk real slow....I can go down the stairs like a grown up.

In the video, I've gotten better at walking down the stairs. So good that I decided to attack mommy when I got down them. I want to see that CAMERA MOM!!!

Trip to the allergist = not fun!

So today mommy took me to see the allergist. She decided to make an appointment because she was talking to my sitter while picking me up one day last week. She was having a general conversation with her and somehow they got on the topic of food. Ms. Lusine mentioned that some of the kids eat peanut butter sandwhichs. Mommy was stunned. I'm allergic to peanuts and mommy is not comfortable with peanut butter eaten around me so mommy made an appt with the allergist to find out the seriousness of my allergies. Little did I know, that meant a prick test today. So I'm sitting in the room hanging out with mommy when the nurse walks in with a tray. Mommy's brows lifted. Next thing I know she's holding me with my back facing out. All of the sudden this nurse started pricking me like crazy. Tears are rolling down my eyes and mommy is heart broken. She had to hold me the entire time. In the end, I was pricked 26 times and these are the things I reacted to with positive results:

clam, codfish, crab, lobster, shrimp, tuna, salmon, sesame, wheat, almond, brazil nut, cashew, hazel nut, peanut, pecan, walnut, bean, corn, pea, milk, casein, egg white, egg yolk, soybean, saline, and histamine. The doctor came in and was not surprised with the results. She asked mommy to get my blood drawn at the lab so she could get a more detailed report and figure out exactly what I was allergic too. Mommy's all for it but just couldn't bear to take me to the lab for blood work since I had the prick test. Ummm.....thanks mom!

Finally we got home. Mommy fed me and put me down for a nap. I love my naps. Once I woke up, I was back to good ole me. Mommy showed me a new song today. It's called ring around the roses. We held hands, walked in a circle and then we all fell down! Wow! This was fun.

And after a few times, I started screaming DOWN!!!! My mommy is so much fun! I've pretty much forgotten all about the drama earlier.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Today is my grandpa's Birthday. He lives in Arizona so I don' t ever get to see him. Mommy says when I get bigger we can take a trip to Arizona. But right now she knows and I do too that I won't make it 5 hours on the plane. I'm a wild man now. There's no time for sitting.

Anyway, so mommy wanted to run an errand today. So she asked me to go get my shoes. I went all the way up the stairs, found my shoes in my bedroom, came all the way back down and brought my shoes to mommy. She was completely shocked and so amazed by what I did.

P.S. I'm also saying "up and down" now.

A tribute to bear bear

Tub time

So today I decided instead of sitting in the tub, I'd try swimming in the tub. I got on my belly and started kicking in the water. It was so much fun. Then I started blowing bubbles in the water. They wanted me to blow bubbles in the pool at swim class but I didn't do it. Tonight....I decided I'm going to do it. I also stuck my face under the water too. I'm turning into a wild man.

Owie!!!! My bottom 2 molars are coming in at the same time. It hurts!
