15 month doctor visit
Today I went to see Dr. O'Mara. Here are my stats:
weight: 23lbs
height: 32 inches
head:
The doctor said I was a little on the small side when it comes to my weight but said due to my special diet and the fact that I'm super active, it's ok to weigh what I weigh. So the doctor and mommy aren't really worried. Daddy was suppose to come to my doctor appointment but he had to work at the last minute.
So mommy and Dr. O'mara talked about my medicines, what to take when I get sick and how much do I get. They talked about my allergies, my new allergist and the foods I'm currently eating which by the way is chicken, chicken and more chicken. Just kidding. Mommy gave me pork loin the other day and that was really yummy. We had a good visit with the doctor but I was all over that tiny little room opening cabinets every chance I got. The doctor left and the nurse came in. She laid me down on the table and the next thing I knew I got stabbed twice. WHOA! Tears just streamed down my eyes. Mommy picked me up and made it all better. You know, if I keep getting pricked everytime I come to the doctor, I'm going to think twice about coming.

Good grief!
It's happening again. My Eczema is acting up again. And I'm still on my diet so what's up???
Mommy is at her wits end. She just doesn't get it. Could it be the weather? Something I touched? The dog? The dryness in the house? Something at Lusine's? Do I have a bug? She just can't figure it out. Ms. Lusine told mommy today I pooped 8 times. My bunner's hurt so bad and they weren't normal poopies. Mommy didn't see them so how can she explain it to the nurse on call so she can get a possible solution?
To be continued...

Mommy's frustrated!
So today I had my follow up Allergist appointment. Mommy tries to schedule all my doctor appointments on her days off which is Mondays and Fridays. Sure she could schedule them during the work week but she wants to save her sick leave plus she's hoping that in the future, she'll get to keep her part time status and by taking me to doctor appointments on her days off gives her the opprotunity to work full days when she is at work.
Anyway, mommy is really frustrated right now because my appointment was at 12:15 and we didn't even get into a room for a good 45 min. So mommy was in the waiting room blocking my every move because I'm a baby on the go now. I was running all over the place. She would grab me and I would fling my body around. She would hold me and I'd wiggle out. So she was really tired of chasing me. They just don't make doctor offices baby friendly. A baby area with a gate would have been awesome!!!
So finally we got in and our room was great. Nothing to get into except the trash can which mommy promptly removed from the room. The doctor came in about a 15-20 min later. The visit was really brief because I had lost control. My normal nap is 1pm and by now I was completely past it. Mommy was rushing with her questions and pretty much this is what the doctor said. It's ok to try new foods but keep it bland and stick with the same food for at least a week. That seems easy enough but it's still restricting which is fine cause mommy wants to keep me safe.
So since we were at the doctor for 3 hours (way to long) mommy didn't have any new food to make so I got to eat chicken again tonight. That's ok. I know she'll make me something really yummy soon.

I think I'm sick
Ok, so I think I'm coming down with something. I feel a little off. Mommy was really concerned about me. She kept watching me all day. I was really clingy all day long. Mommy took my temperature and it read between 101.0 and 101.7 degrees. Mommy did some research on babycenter.com and it said that 101 was ok at my age but to monitor me to make sure it doesn't go higher. I didn't have a sneeze or a cough my my nose was runny. Mommy noticed a few teeth trying to pop thru so she wasn't sure if it was that or that fact that daddy was not feeling good on Friday and maybe I got something from him. Once daddy got home, she told him about our day. Daddy was concerned too but like the internet said, just keep taking my temps and make sure it doesn't go up.
We'll see if I sleep thru the night tonight. Mommy and daddy are hoping I will.

Happy Valentine's Day!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!!!
Today was a special day. Unfortunately daddy had to work all day but that gave mommy a chance to spend the entire day with me and also plan a Valentine's dinner for daddy. We had a good day together hanging out. During my nap mommy prepared the meal. When daddy came home he had daddy duty for 1 hour. That gave me and daddy time together which was so much fun and it gave mommy time to put together the final preparations. Mommy and daddy then put me to bed. I went to sleep right away since I was really tired today.
Mommy's note: Ken got me a dozen long stem roses. They were beautiful. I had a fondue dinner planned with shrimp, steak, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinich. We had wine and great conversation and it was so nice to have a quiet evening together. I enjoyed the time we spent together so much that I forgot to give Ken his valentine's day cards from Cody and I.

Allergist appointment today
So mommy made me an allergist appointment today. But we didn't go back to Dr. Alpan. We tried a new doctor and I think mommy and daddy really liked her. My appointment was at 1:30pm. Since we hung out with Mrs. Martha, Megan and Matt yesterday, I got off my schedule a bit. I slept in the morning till almost 10am but I'm normally I'm napping at 1:00 so I'm a little off right now. I hung in as long as I could but mommy and daddy were talking to the allergist till 3:15. Yes, the actual doctor talked to mommy and daddy about me for almost 2 hours. They discussed everything from the day I was born, when the eczema began, the crazy itching fits, what foods I ate and what's going on with me now. Mommy had all my medical records for her to review and she was sad to see that my allergies are real and pretty high. So to make a long story short, this is the 4-1-1. For 2 weeks I will only eat the following:
breakfast - cream of rice cereal
Lunch and dinner - I get a choice of chicken or beef
- veggies - carrots or broccoli
- fruit - cooked apples or pears
- Rice or potato
Although this looks easy, mommy hates the fact that I have to eat the same food over and over again but we're cleansing my system again. Thank god it's not that stupid liquid diet. I'm also taking an oral steroid to clear up the Eczema. I have scratches all over my body and face and I'm itching like crazy. I'm also going to take an antihis.... every night for a few weeks as well.
Mommy is definitely stressed but she's happy that I'm healthy and this is temporary till we figure out the next step.
