Cranial Technologies

Mommy took me to Cranial Tech today and Ms. Cheryl said that on my next visit, we'll be able to find out when my helmet comes off.  Oh my, both of us were jumping for joy.  Ms. Cheryl said coming off not "getting another helmet"  That's such great news.  So in 2 weeks, we get the final date.  Mommy said it will be a huge celebration!

Much better today!

Today I had a much better day with Grandma and mommy.  I'm fascinated with this basket that I can push around the house and I decided to sit in it like I did back in March when mommy was taking photos of me for my Easter card.  If you look at the picture below this one, you can see how much I've changed.

Anyway, today I completely stood all by myself.  Mommy was so proud of me.  I smiled, clapped and fell back down on my buns.  But still it was neat to stand up all on my own.  I also ate real green beans and baked potatoes today.  It was so good.  I think it's time to give up on my baby food and eat real adult food but mommy will make sure it is nothing that I'm allergic to.

Thanks grandma for coming to visit this weekend and thanks for helping mommy at the hospital when she was stressing out or talking to the doctor.

Trip to the emergency room - oh no!

I don't know how to rotate this photo of blogger.  This is little cody in the ER.  He was such a trooper during the whole process.  I love my little man and I would never do anything to hurt him.

So Grandma came to visit yesterday and stayed the night at our house.  Mommy took us to the home and garden show at the Dulles expo center.  Mommy is looking for painters and decided this might be a good place to get estimates.  So mommy and grandma walked around while I rode in my stroller.  I got to look at so many people.  Afterwards mommy drove to a cater our in Sterling.  She's thinking of ordering my birthday cake from them.  Mommy is going to take me to the allergist in 2 weeks to do a "cake" test.  The doctor is going to feed me my birthday cake and if I can eat it with no reaction then mommy gets to buy me a normal cake.  But if I have a bad reaction like hives or something then mommy has to get a wheat free, egg free cake.  All I hear is cake and that sounds yummy to me.  Anyway, mommy then took me and grandma to Applebee's for lunch.  That's where the problems began and my fun day turned to a trip to the emergency room.

Mommy and grandma were eating lunch.  Mommy was feeding me my baby food and I had enough.  I didn't want it.  I wasn't in the mood.  I wanted what mommy had and I grabbed at her plate several times.  So mommy handed me a french fry.  She thought it would be fun to see me hold the french fry in my hand since I don't like to hold food in my hands ever.  In fact, I don't even like to feed myself, mommy does it for me.  So she handed me a french fry and I threw it on the ground, she handed me another and on the floor, there it went, then she handed me another, and oops, I did it again.  hee-hee.  So I grabbed at mommy's plate again and she took a really small piece of her fish sandwhich and put it in my mouth.  It was fantastic!!  I had 3 other little pieces.  We're talking the size of the tip of mommy's fingernail.  Anyway, by the time the check got to us I was itching away.  Mommy was so surprised.  Then I started getting little white bumps all over my hands and arms and a little on my face.  Mommy started to worry.  Then my left eye started to swell close and mommy drove me straight to the emergency room.
Mommy didn't know what happened.  At the emergency room, they took me right in.  They gave me 2 types of medication and watched me for 2 hours.  Mommy was so relieved that I got better but she was racking her brain on what I had that made me break out and swell up.  Once we got home, mommy called Applebee's to find out what the fries were cooked in because at the hospital she thought maybe the fries were cooked in Peanut oil and I'm allergic to peanuts.
Applebee's said they cook their fries in soybean oil.  Well, I'm allergic to soybean too.  Does this mean I'll never have a french fry?  Well, mommy took a whole bunch of notes and she monitored me all night to make sure nothing new would happen to me.  Mommy was so scared today and will make an appointment with the allergist to discuss my allergies and what else could cause me to goto the hospital.  We don't want this to ever happen again.

Visit with my Great Grandma

So before we left for Pennsylvania today, Grandma took me to see my great grandma, gram.  She's real nice and said that I have gotten so big since she's seen me last.  I know gram, I'm getting to be a real big boy.  So mommy made us all take a photo together cause she wanted to get a least "1" 4 generation photo.  That would be me, daddy, grandma and gram.  And here's the best shot.  At least 3 of us are looking at the camera.  Hey mom, you need a new faster camera.
Me, grandma, daddy, gram and grandad
Ok so I smiled and you only get to see 2 teeth.
Here's a quick video of me crawling in circles. Silly me!

A pumpkin patch!!!

WOW!  Today I went to a pumpkin patch with mommy, daddy and grandma.  There were pumpkins everywhere and I just couldn't decide on which ones to pick.   There was also a big truck with hay on it.  Me and grandma had to pose for mommy.  Check me out sitting by myself. Ok, so grandma had to have her hand there just in case I fell off.  But still look at me sitting all by myself.

Humm, which one???  Daddy,  I want both!
Me and grandma!
Such a big boy!

Bloomsburg fair

So mommy and daddy took me to grandma and granddad's house.  Together we went to the annual Bloomsburg fair.  I had a lot of fun.  I got to see so many different people.  Mommy and daddy were eating lots of different types of foods they even had an apple turnover which mommy said was really yummy.  They gave me a small taste of the apples but they were kind of to sweet for me.  We walked around and around looking at everything.  We went during the day and came back at night to see all the lights.  It was neat but it sure was chilly in Pennsylvania!

Here I am with mommy next to a baby calf that was born yesterday.  The owner said the calf weighed 98 lbs at birth.  Mommy said, poor cow.  I got to pet the baby calf and he just lied there.  Mommy said that was all I did when I was a baby.  I sure do get around now though.

Maybe soon , stay tuned.

10 months old already???

So this was a busy month.  I've started exploring more, getting into all the kitchen cabinets, climbing up the stairs, cruising around the house holding onto the furniture, learning how to high five, riding in my new convertible car seat, getting my 1st haircut and eating new foods like veggie soup, squash, chicken, and watermelon.  Mommy says I'm really becoming a big boy.  I think she's right.
