Stopped by to say hi!

Today mommy took me over to my baby sitter's house.  She wanted to re-introduce me to her so it wouldn't be so weird for me when mommy goes back to work soon.  Ms. Lusine seems real nice and I think I will fit in with the rest of the kids just fine.  

Getting another helmet at Cranial Technologies

I found out today that I have to get a 2nd helmet for my head.  Although it looks really good, my head is not fully round yet.  So, today I went in to get fitted for my new helmet.  They have mommy take my clothes off, all except for my diaper and socks.  Why do they got to leave my socks on? I look so silly.  Anyway, they sit me down on a stool.  A lady stands behind me and puts a white stocking over my head.  Yes, a stocking.  I look like a miniature criminal.  Mommy couldn't stop laughing.  She saw them do this to me the last time and wished she got a photo.  I guess I acted different this time.  Last time I didn't open my eyes, this time I did and I tried to put my fingers in my mouth and I couldn't.  Mommy took a photo.  Then they took a few photos.  Next thing you know, there is a digital image of my head on the computer.  So cool.  So in 14 days, I get my new helmet and my daddy is going to decorate it.   I do hope this helmet is the last one.  I've already worn this one for 2 months.  My head really does look great!  Can't wait to see what it looks like 2 months from now.

Today was sad because our vacation in Arizona is just about over.  Aunt Wendy had off work today so we hung out together.  We went to a few stores and back to the pool.  This time the water was still super cold but I was able to put my feet in and keep them in for a little while but that's as far as I got.  Mommy said she will take me to another pool soon.  I think she is going to sign my up for swim lessons.  How neat!

During the week in AZ, mommy took lots of photos of me, me with my family, me with mommy's friends and scenery photos.  Here are some more photos and this is why mommy loves Arizona so much!

Mommy visited her friend Mrs. Claudia.  She had a brand new baby named Alex.  Every time I goto the store bigger kids call me a baby.  But now I finally get to call someone else a baby.   I look big for once.  It was great meeting Alex.  Even though he didn't say anything to me, I still think he's super cool.  I look forward to getting to know him better in the future.  Mommy and I had a really nice visit with Mrs. Claudia and her family.

Today my mommy drove me to Safford to meet all my family.  Mommy was excited for me to meet my grandpa, grandma,  Aunt Nooch, Uncle Joe, Tammy, Morgan and Jennalea.  They had a yummy cookout and I got to watch everyone eat.  I want to try that food but I don't have any teeth yet.  So all I got to eat was my formula.  Even though it's only powder and water, it's still pretty tasty.  Mommy did tap my mouth with a cupcake and the icing stayed on my lips.  Yummy!   I had a great time and enjoyed meeting my family.  I can't wait to see them again sometime soon.

Desert Ridge is so much fun!

Today we went to a shopping center called Desert Ridge.  This shopping center was really cool. There was lots of things for kids to do.  There was a rock wall, a play area, an outdoor fire place (perfect to sit by after playing in the water), water fountains and a stage where you watch people sing.  There was so much to see and there were so many kids.  Mommy took me in one store and there was a cute little girl sitting on the floor playing with a game.  Mommy always stops and introduces me to babies, especially little girls.  This girl was 10 months old.  She was sitting up on her own so mommy sat me next to her.  She leaned over and grabbed my arm.  She was really strong.  I can't wait to sit and play on my own.

So much fun today!

I had so much fun today!  Mommy, grandma and Aunt Wendy took me to the pool.  It was so warm and sunny outside but the pool was sooo cold.  Mommy was so bummed.  She brought a blow up floaty for me to use but I didn't even use it because the water was to cold to go in. Mommy did put my toes in the water  and I jerked my legs up and yelped.  Yee-yee-yee, that water is COLD!  So what does mommy do with me now that I can't go in the water?  Take more photos!    

Later that afternoon, mommy got to meet up with her friend Mrs. Shawna and her daughter Sierra.  Sierra was real nice to me and I had a lot of fun meeting them.   Thanks Mrs. Shawna for taking time out in your busy schedule to meet me.

 

My first plane ride

Mommy and grandma took me on a plane today.  We flew 5 hours to Arizona.   I was real fussy at first.  Mommy was told to give me a bottle when the plane took off in the air.  Mommy did but I downed it in 2 seconds, even before we got all the way up in the air.  My ears popped and it hurt.  I cried and cried.  Mommy tired to settle me but I just wouldn't settle down.   Finally when the plane leveled out, mommy got me another bottle and I fell asleep.  I slept the rest of the way till the last 20 minutes of the flight.  Mommy opened the window shade and I looked out.  I saw mountains, water and then a lot of houses.  The landing went nicely.  I didn't cry at all.  Mommy was so excited for me to see Aunt Wendy.  The last time she saw me, I was only 6 weeks old.  I'm way cooler now.   By the time we got off the plane, my car seat and stroller were waiting for me.  Mommy strapped me in my car seat and put me in the stroller.  Off we went to get our baggage and go see Aunt Wendy.   Mommy took lots of photos and I can't wait till she posts them and we tell you all about our trip.

 

My daddy's birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!

Today we celebrated my daddy's birthday.  Mommy got him an ice cream cake and we sang happy birthday to him.  Mommy also gave him presents.  I can't wait till it's my birthday because that cake that mommy and daddy ate sure looked good.  It has to be good,  daddy had more than one piece.  Hee-hee.

My mommy finally got me on camera laughing.  Usually when she has the camera or video camera in her hand, I get real serious.  But today, I just couldn't stop laughing and she was able to get me on tape.  I'm so silly!

A birthday celebration!!!

Happy Birthday Virginia!!!!

Today mommy went to Aunt Mary's house so we could see mommy's cousin Virginia, her husband Bryen and Quinten.  It's been almost a month since I've seen Quinten.  We both changed so much since we've seen each other in the past month.  I got my helmet and my head looks really good but Quinten can sit on his own and he is crawling.  WOW I said!  I sure wish I could sit on my own and crawling sure does look fun.  We were both were drooling and both mommy's laughed at our interactions with each other.  At one point mommy put me on my belly to see if I could get in a crawling position.  Quinten took his hand and held my head down to the floor.  All I could see was this orange carpet.  It looked like my sweet potatoes so I didn't mind.  I like my sweet potatoes.  Mommy didn't take any photos of us this time.  What was she thinking?  She did get a photo of me when I got home.  Boy was I tired!  I was out cold.   I look forward to seeing Quinten again real soon.

PSU Helmet

My daddy decorated my helmet (Doc band). It's no longer all white.  It's all white with Penn State stickers on it.  It looks  just like the real Penn State football helmets.  Daddy says I'm a PSU football player in training now.  Mommy doesn't have a photo yet but she will soon.

5 months old and monthly summary

Yesterday I had so much going on that I forgot to mention that I'm 5 months old now.  Mommy can hardly believe it.  She remembers me when I use to lay around.  Now I'm so active.  I can scooch around real good on my back.  I can roll over from my belly to my back.  I can lift my head up but I don't have a desire to crawl yet.  I love putting my fingers in my mouth and I can suck on them for hours.  It drives mommy crazy.  She tries to give me teething rings but I'm just not interested.  I like to drool and most of the times the front of my shirts are completely covered in drool.  I laugh when mommy says "oh no"  Also, I laugh when she plays peek-a-boo with me and when she makes funny faces.  Mommy is so silly.

Fire at our hotel!

Mommy and Daddy took me to Maryland to visit daddy's job.  We stayed overnight in a big hotel.  Everything was quiet until 4 am when people were pounding on our doors telling us that their was a fire and we had to evacuate the building.  Mommy and daddy grabbed me and a few things and immediately headed out.  When we were safely out of the hotel and out of harms way, mommy went across the street and took a photo of the hotel.  It was a crazy night but thank goodness the firemen got control of it.  Turns out it was a chimney fire and we got to go back to our hotel room around 1 hour later.  Mommy and daddy gave me a bottle and I fell right back to sleep.

**  Later that day **

Daddy went onto work.  Mommy packed up the bags and checked out of the hotel.  Mommy tried to get a late check out but the hotel said they already granted all their late check outs for the day.   So mommy checked out and headed over to daddy's job.  Ms. Karena had a present for me when I got there.  Ms. Karena found out that our hotel caught on fire so she went to the fire department and since I was so brave, I got a fireman hat from them.  I'm a JR. firefighter!  Isn't that so cool?  Mommy took a picture of me and daddy together.
