Happy Halloween

Now this turned out to be fun. I really didn't want to get dressed up. In fact I decided not to wear my chest plate, helmet or carry my shield. All I wanted to carry was my pumpkin to put candy in. First we got in a line and marched around the neighborhood, then we went trick o treating.

Ali and Megan live in my neighborhood. They also goto the same sitter as me.

Oh what a mess

So today the weather wasn't so cold out but mommy put me in jeans and a cute long sleeve top that Aunt We-we got me. So mommy decided, hey lets go outside and take some photos. The trees are changing colors and maybe we can get some cool photos. Little did she know that as soon as I hit the door I was running all over the place. No awesome photos of me today. In fact, I ran all around the front yard. All the sudden, I fell down and got grass stains on my shirt. Yup, I'm a boy alright. Got my first grass stain. Then later tonight mommy was giving me my allergy medicine. She turned to wash the spoon and the next thing she knew, I poured half the bottle all over my shirt. Whoops! Mommy and daddy stripped me down and washed me off. I just got on my shirt mom, no need to fuss with me. I'm a boy, these things are gonna happen. By the way, don't leave anything on the edge of the counter. I can reach it now.

We're going to Quinten's Birthday party!!!

Today mommy and daddy told me I was going to Quinten's B-day party. A party?? That sounds like fun. Mommy and daddy drove and drove and drove. I was like where the heck are we going? To Richmond sweetie. I said my goodness and decided I might as well take a snoozy while I can. Of course I only got 1/2 hour nap but it was a good power nap cause I'm ready to party now!!!

So we got to Quinten's house and he was a little under the weather. Poor guy. Ms. Virginia said he was cutting teeth and had a small fever. I'm cutting teeth too but I haven't gotten a fever over it thank goodness.

Quinten had a lot of balloons. They were really neat. We were both playing with them. We sang Happy Birthday to him and everyone had cake. Mommy didn't have any cake or cookies for me so I ate what she packed. Apple sauce, cheese and noodles. She assured me for my party, I would have cake. YEA!!!

Quinten soon opened his presents. The smile on his face was so big as he opened up all his presents. Mommy said the smile was big on my face too because once he opened his present and put it aside, I grabbed it and checked it out. He got a lot of really cool presents.

I had a great time at Quinten's party. On our way home I was getting restless in the car. Mommy tried to entertain me by having me repeat the words she was saying. She was saying them real fast and I was repeating them as fast as she was saying them. All the sudden, I did it.
She said, mommy I said mommy, she said daddy, I said daddy, she said baby, I said baby, she said Cody I said CODY. WHAT???? Mommy and daddy said what did you say? I laughed. Mommy said did you say Cody??? I said CODY. YEA!!!! Mommy and daddy are so proud.
What a great day.

I broke the CD player

Uh-oh, she caught me with the picture frame. I better run!

Hiding behind the foyer wall. Maybe mommy won't see me here. Oh gosh, she did. Run!!!Now I'm hiding behind my little chair. I didn't think she was going to see me but mommy has eyes behind her head. Whoa, I gotta go!Holy smokes, I had to dive to the ground to avoid her. Man she's quick. She almost got me.

SHE CAUGHT ME!!! Man that was fun.

So to discuss the real reason of this post.

So every night mommy puts me to bed with classical music. The other day, I decided I wanted to play my toddler CD. So I kind of opened the CD player myself. Mommy said OH NO!!! But it was to late. I broke it.

It's not like i have to goto bed with my classical music but I decided the other night I needed something to listen to so mommy turned on her favorite radio station. I've been jamming at night to some hip hop. Tonight, mommy was watching the monitor as I was rolling around my bed. Lady Gaga's song Paparatzi came on. I was totally humming and singing the chorus. Mommy and daddy were laughing and I didn't even know it.

Dancing!!!

So for the past few days, mommy noticed that I've kind of taken a liking to the song "fire burning" by Sean Kingston. So mommy pulled it up on You Tube so I could hear the song again. I started to giggle a bit and started jumping around. Dancing is fun to me.

A visit to the local fire department

Today was "open house" day at the area fire departments. So of course mommy and daddy wanted to take me. They were excited and so was I until daddy walked up next to a big fire truck. I said no dadda no. Mommy was like what??? Cody loves trucks. I know mom. Every time mommy or daddy drives somewhere and I see a 18 wheeler, a fire truck, construction truck, or any kind of big truck I say wow! Vroom-vroom. But today I just wasn't interested. Well...that was until the fireman came over and took a photo with me next to the fire truck. That was kind of cool.

Poor mommy

Mommy had some stomach pains yesterday and they didn't go away today so mommy got a little nervous and decided to goto the doctor. The doctor did her initial look over before pushing on mommy's belly. There was a little discomfort but no where near the sharp pains she felt yesterday. So to be on the safe side, the doctor sent mommy to get a cat scan. Mommy got really nervous and called daddy who took off work. He met mommy at the hospital and sat with her during the process. Mommy had to drink a lot of special liquids. Around 5pm, mommy got her cat scan. She and daddy picked me up at 6pm and they told me all about it. Poor mommy. She has to wait till tomorrow for the results. Thank goodness it wasn't bad otherwise they would have kept mommy at the hospital. Mommy....daddy and I will keep our fingers crossed that you are well. We love you.

Don't want to goto bed

So last night mommy and daddy got me ready for bed. They took me upstairs, said "bedtime" and put me in my crib. So I'm standing in my crib pointing to the things I want. I always get my favorite blanket and my bear but I also want my ambulance, my cell phone, my car and a book. Mommy thinks it's kind of funny since they turn off the lights but I can still play with the lights off. Well tonight I decided that I wasn't quite ready to goto bed. So I cried and cried and cried. Then I cried real LOUD and sure enough mommy came walking in to check on me. I'm standing at the edge of the crib with my arms out and tears streaming down my cheeks. She picks me up and says what's the matter? Just wanted a little attention mom. So mommy and I sat down and had a little heart to heart. Mommy told me that she had to work tomorrow and that she and daddy were going to bed and that it was really important that I went to bed since I had to get up early tomorrow too. Well, geez mom that makes so much sense. She also told me that she was really excited about seeing me in the morning and that the quicker I went to bed, the quicker I could wake up and spend some time with us. Well that sounded so good that I pointed to my crib so mommy put me back in it. I quickly laid down and she put my favorite blanket on me. I looked up and said night mommy and waved goodbye. Mommy said goodnight and waved back at me. She even said I love you and threw me a kiss. I never made another sound for the rest of the night.

It's a Gluten free day

Ok mommy, I'm ready to start cooking. I've taken all the baking goods out of the pantry and I'm ready to start baking my cookies.
Little does Cody know that he can't have any of these products except for the canola oil. But it was still cute watching him line all the ingredients in a row on the floor. He actually does that with his cars and trucks. Interesting don't you think? What's more interesting is the fact that I actually got him to pose next to his work of art. He usually doesn't pose for the camera anymore.

Cherrybrook Kitchen sugar cookies
Today mommy decided that it was going to be a Gluten Free day. Not that every day isn't already but today mommy set out to try a new cookie mix that she bought for me as well as making chicken in the crockpot. This time, she took boneless chicken thighs, carrots, celery, onions and gluten free chicken broth. While that was cooking, mommy made me sugar cookies from Cherry brook Kitchen. She took her time, making sure she didn't make a mistake. She also carefully monitored the cookies while they were in the oven. They turned out great.

Mommy said I was a great helper. So I'm going to help her more often.
