Cabin, Part II

So here are a few more photos while we were at the cabin.  We also went to this beach at the top of the mountain, I think it's Ricketts Glen state park?  Anyway, it was this lake at the top of the mountain with a man made beach.  All these people were laying and hanging out.  But it was kind of windy and chilly.  I sat there for a bit with mom, dad and grandma, then we walked around.  Mommy took the photos of the lake below.  It sure is pretty.

I'm watching grandma eat, why is she not sharing?
Why is grandma laughing at me?

Off to the cabin

Aunt Christine, Ethan, mommy and me
Me and daddy.  Faster daddy, faster!
The cabin in the woods!
My great grandma - Gram
Tracy's feeding me.  Not one spill!

Daddy took mommy and I to Pennsylvania to goto the cabin for the Labor day weekend.  We got to see and spend time with grandma and granddad, my great grandma - gram, Uncle Rick, Aunt Christine, Tracy and Ethan.  Oh we can't forget snicker and bear bear.  I had a great time.  There was so much to explore and I even made sure that I climbed up all of the stairs in the cabin.  Of course mommy and/or daddy were always right behind me.

This weekend, grandma cooked some food and I got to eat some homemade vegetable soup, home grown squash and some grilled chicken.  Just little pieces though.  I still only have 2 teeth and I can only chew so much with my gums.

I climbed up the stairs!

So I've been showing mommy this month all the things I can do.  Like for example, I can walk behind my blue hippo, I can high five, I can get into all the cabinets, I can cruise around the house, and I can crawl real fast but today I thought I would try to top those minor milestones and climb up all 15 stairs in our entry way.  Mommy saw me get on the first stair.  So she followed behind closely and sure enough she counted them as I climbed and when I got to the top she said WOW!  15 stairs, what a big boy.  I'm so proud of myself.

Daddy could have sworn??

Daddy could have sworn that I said my da-da this morning.  He was lying in bed and mommy went to get me and bring me in the bedroom.  She sat me on the bed next to daddy and daddy said "hi Cody" and daddy could have sworn that I said "my da-da".   He looked up at mommy and said did he say my da-da?  I said it sounded like it.  Of course they tried to get me to say it again, but I wouldn't.  Isn't it great to be a kid?

Happy Birthday Aunt Wendy!

Today is my Aunt Wendy's birthday.  She lives in Arizona so I can't see her on her birthday but I got to wish her a happy b-day on the phone.  That is if she understands baby talk.   I miss my Aunt Wendy and I can't wait to see her again hopefully sometime soon.  Happy Birthday!!!

MY 1ST HAIRCUT!!!!  See story below.

Scruffy little guy
Oh my, daddy is scruffy too.  Help us Vicki!!!
Two cleaned up and very handsome dudes!

Today my mom and dad took me for a ride in my new convertible car seat.  This new car seat has style.  It's bigger than my baby car seat and I sit up higher, not so reclined back like the other one.  Anyway, my daddy drove me to his barber and we got our haircut together.  My daddy felt like I needed a trim.  Mommy wanted to keep my hair the way it was but daddy didn't like how my hair covered my ears plus daddy was so excited about getting our haircut together.  So here are a few photos of my 1st haircut.  So as you can see we we from scruffy dudes to handsome dudes.  Now mommy needs to get a haircut so we can be one cute family!

2nd tooth coming in

Mommy found a 2nd tooth coming in.  It's my bottom right tooth.  I thought they'd come in together but I guess not.  Thank goodness my second one is coming in, I looked a little silly with just 1 tooth in my mouth.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Today is my grandpa Gotch's Birthday.  He lives in Arizona so I can't see him but mommy taught me how to high five so all I can do is say Happy Birthday Grandpa and when I see ya, I'll give you a high five!

I also got my 9 month photos taken today and I must admit these were the best I've taken yet.  Mommy wishes she could attach one to show you.   Oh well, she'll just have to post more photos of me in this blog.  Lord knows she takes millions of photos of me.

What a day!

Today mommy's friend Ms. Jenny came to visit and she brought her 2 girls, Alyssa and Delany.  They were real nice and I enjoyed playing with them.    Ms. Jenny brought me and mommy some stuff.  I got a dump truck with big leggos in it, a Thomas the train book, and a really neat activity toy.  It was so neat to get some new toys.  Mommy had a nice time spending time with Ms. Jenny, Alyssa, and Delany.

Later that day mommy took me to Mr. Pete and Mrs. Barbara's house for a pig roast.  They were having a big cookout and there were a lot of people at their party.  Mommy got a plate full of food.  She even got some fruit and she let me have a little bit of it.  All the people around us said I was a really good eater.  Mommy can't feed me everything but she gives me little pieces of food here and there and if I don't like it, I'll just spit it out.

Oh brother!

So, my babysitter told mommy that all day yesterday I had the poopies!  So mommy took me to the clinic to get checked out.  Turns out the the medicine that the doctor gave me was a tad strong and it gave me the poopies.  My poor bunners.  They are red!!!  So I got new medicine and we left.  Then mommy took me to Cranial Tech.  I was suppose to go on Monday but I got a really bad eczema breakout on my forehead.  So the doctor told me to use this specific medicine and then when mommy took me to Cranial Tech, Ms. Sheryl told mommy to keep my helmet off until the rash healed.  Mommy was so excited.  Deep down inside she knows that it's important to keep my helmet on but that one side of her wants to keep it off forever.  So mommy is going to continue to put the medication on my forehead and monitor my rash.  Ok, I'm tired of doctors now.  Let's go home mommy.

9 month doctor appointment

Today was my 9 month Dr. appointment.  Theses are my stats:
Weight:
Length:
Head:

So, mommy wanted to talk to the doctor about what types of different foods I can now be introduced to and talk about my allergy results.  But all the doctor wanted to was focus on my eczema. Ok, that's old news now, lets re-focus.  But no such luck.  My normal doctor was out of town so I got a different doctor, apparently one that's not in the "know" when it comes to my eczema.  But in all reality I have a horrible rash all over my legs which she thinks it might be infected.  I don't know where the rash came from but mommy is so careful with what she feeds me since I'm allergic to wheat, eggs, peanuts, and a few others.  Mommy doesn't know what I got exposed to so the doctor gave me more medication to take orally and put on me infected areas.  She also told mommy to buy Aveeno baby oatmeal bath to soften my skin.  Mommy literally is trying everything to help me out.

Mommy's back!!!

Mommy's back!!!  I'm so excited....actually I didn't know she was coming back today.  Grandma and grandad took me for a ride and the next thing I know, their opening up the back of the minivan and I see luggage getting tossed in and then I see MOMMY?!?!  Yea she's back!  Now I can stop torturing Grandma and grandad.

So mommy tells us that she had a lot of fun in Texas.  She said her and daddy went out to nice dinners, they went sightseeing and they did a lot of R & R.  Mommy needed the rest.  I've been keeping her busy these last few months and she needed the break.

Oh, I forgot to mention that before mommy came home, grandma and grandad took me to Cranial Tech to get my new helmet.  Yes, this is my 3rd one.  Mommy and daddy didn't feel comfortable with my measurements and felt that their was still room for improvement.  So I was really hoping that I was done with the helmet but I guess I have 2-3 more months to go.
Hopefully it's off by my birthday.  I know that would make mommy really happy.

Having fun

So mommy and daddy are hanging out in San Antonio at a Bed and Breakfast, walking around the riverwalk and visiting the Alamo while I'm cruising around the house furniture walking, opening up every cabinet in the house that I can find and climbing up the stairs...3 for starters now.  I'm keeping grandma and grandad hopping and chasing after me while mommy and daddy are living the life of luxury, eating and sleeping.

* Our bed and breakfast was really nice.  Ken reserved the "sun" room for me knowing that I would love it.  It was an entire southwest theme and one reason why it was called the sun room was due to the fact that it had a separate area that was all windows and stairs that lead up to a roof top balcony.  It was so nice.  We enjoyed lounging and when we wanted, walked downstairs for breakfast.  I personally had never been to a bed and breakfast before but now that I have, I'd love to try other ones.  This b & b was located in a neighborhood so it wasn't tucked away in the woods or mountains but when you were inside or in the backyard that by the way was filled with benches, flowers and a water fountain, it didn't feel like we were minutes from the River walk.   I did enjoy my trip to San Antonio.  It was so much different than I pictured.  It was greener than I expected and the houses in the area that we were all had character.  No house was the same.

Houston

Today Grandma and grandad came to my house.  I thought how nice of them to visit me but little did I know that they came to town to babysit me while mommy flew to TX to go see Daddy for a few days.  So mommy jumped on a plane and I partied like a rock star.  No mommy.  Wow is this what freedom feels like?

9 months old today!

Today I'm 9 months old.  Mommy and daddy can hardly believe it.  I like to crawl, and stand behind my new toy, even push it a little.  I say da da all the time and say mama when I'm mad.  I can clap my hands together and people like to say patty cake when I do it.  I smile a lot and I also pucker my lips together to pout at times.

Mommy decided to take some photos of me today so she could submit them to cranial tech.  She's hoping that I'll make it in their 2009 calendar.    She submitted 4 different photos.   But here's her favorite one.

Look at me mommy!

Today my daddy pulled out a "hippo" toy that Grandma and Grandad got me for Easter.   You can sit on it and scoot along or you can stand behind it and push it.  So daddy puts my toy together and I instantly stood up behind my toy and walked real slow.  Mommy and daddy was amazed.   Check me out.
