You've got to be kidding me!

I'm so bummed.  Mommy took me to Cranial Tech today and I was hoping to get my helmet adjusted and only have 2 weeks left but instead I had to get fitted for a 3rd helmet.  So mommy got me undressed and here came the stocking again.  Say cheese for the camera.

Grandma's house

Today after swim class, mommy took me to grandma's house.  I took a mini nap in the car on the way up and when I woke up we were here.  It's always a quick drive when I nap.  When we were hanging out at grandma's house she got out mommy's baby book and was showing me stuff.  I really liked the picture of the baby on the cover.  That kid was cute.  I just stood there and studied the photo.    Afterward, mommy fed me stage 3 baby food again.  She's really working on me and I'm starting to come around.  If I get too many chunks in my mouth at the same time, I'll spit it out but a few chunks is not so bad.  I also started waving bye bye today.  It's almost as fun as clapping my hands together while mommy is saying patty cake, patty cake.  I just lift my arm and wave.  Mommy is having so much fun with me because it seems like I'm changing everyday.

Stage 3 baby food

YUCKY!  I don't like stage 3 baby food.  I tried it and there are these weird chunks in my food.  I gaged and spit until those darn chunks fell out of my mouth.  I know mommy will keep trying until I like it.  But right now, YUCK! 

What's this?

So today mommy picks me up from Ms. Lusine's house.  She always gets so excited when she picks me up because she misses me so much during the day.  Anyway, she walked in the house and I crawled right to her.  I smiled and mommy said:  "What's this"???  There was a baby white tooth poking thru my gums.  Mommy was so happy.  A tooth!  Cody's finally got a tooth.  Thank goodness mommy got a few toothless photos just the other day.  So now, mommy is going to surprise everyone.  Let's see how long it takes everyone to notice my tooth.

Swim class #5

Today is my 5th swim class.  I'm doing a great job.  We get in the pool and the swim instructor told us to float on our backs, then rotate to the front and kick, kick, kick!  I'm having so much fun.  

FUN IN THE POOL!

So today I went to the pool with my family.  I had so much fun.  My cousins Tracy and Ethan played with me for awhile.  I can't wait till I can swim without this floaty.  But then again, the shade is nice and watching everyone swim around me is pretty fun.  

Chillin at the beach!

Today we went to the beach.  I was so excited but I have to admit that during the 5 minute drive to the beach, I fell asleep.  So mommy sat me under the umbrella in my car seat and waited 1 hour for me to wake up.  It was a good nap but boy when I woke up mommy sat me in the sand and how weird and cool was that?  

Off to the beach!

Today I had swim class and I did really good.  But I was so excited because my mommy was taking me to Ocean City to see Grandma, grandad, Aunt Christine, Uncle Rick and my cousins Tracy and Ethan.  It was going to take a few hours to get there but I didn't care.  Mommy and daddy took me to the beach in Texas but daddy said I would like this beach better.  So it took us 4 hours to get there and as soon as we pulled in my cousin Tracy came and got me.  Yea, let the party begin.  I'm here now!

Awl NUTS!

I can't believe it!  Mommy took me to Cranial Tech today and they did all these measurements on my head and wouldn't you know it, I need to get a 3rd helmet.  One part of my head is measuring 7mm and the idea measurement is between 2-4mm.  So I'm off a few.  Mommy had a feeling I would get a 3rd helmet.  She just knew my head wouldn't completely fill out by the time I grew out of the helmet.  So they adjusted my helmet for another 2 weeks and will schedule for the fitting of the new helmet.  Both mommy and I are a little sad but it's for the best.  Mommy was really looking forward to holding me and rubbing my head as I drift off to sleep at night but don't worry mommy, you can do that when this helmet is off.  Just a few more months.

Visit with Great Aunt Cece and Uncle Joe

Today my great aunt Cece and uncle Joe came to visit us all the way from Arizona.  I was really excited cause the last time they saw me, I was only 5 1/2 months old.  Now I'm 8 months old. When they saw me last I couldn't even sit up.  Now I can sit up on my own, sit in a high chair, and crawl.  Mommy and daddy picked them up at the metro and took them back to our houseso they could see my room.  Then we went to Old Town Alexandria for a little sight seeing, and eating.  I didn't get to taste their dinners but I sure did get to taste mommy's ice cream.  It was so good.  My mouth kept opening up and I wanted more.  I had such a good time.  Daddy took some pictures with mommy's camera but they didn't turn out well so uncle Joe if you can, please e-mail us the photos you took of us on your visit.  Mommy will post them for me.

Anyway, the time went by to fast and we had to take them back to the metro. Mommy said she would take me to Arizona sometime in the future so I can see my family again.

Swim class

Today my daddy took me to my swim class.  Mommy brought the video camera and the camera.  She took both photos and video of me and daddy in the pool.  Check us out.  

HAPPY 4th of JULY!!!

Happy 4th of July!!!  

Look at me, I'm starting to crawl!

What a day to celebrate!!!  Today is the 4th of July and I'm 8 months old.  I also started crawling today.  My mom and dad were so proud of me.  They think it's real cute.  They also think it's neat because a year ago is when I first kicked mommy when I was in her belly.  They never guessed a year later they would have a little crawling baby.    Mommy ran out of video so it's a real quick video.  Check me out!

Mommy also sent out photo cards to family for the 4th of July.  It was a set of 3 photos.  Of course as usual if she knew how to scan it in, she would but since she doesn't know how.  One of the photos on the card is shown above.

Holly smokes MOM!

So I'm sitting in my crib minding my own business sitting up and playing with a toy.  Mom walks in when I wasn't looking and says: "Hey Cody odie"  I about had a heart attack.  I jumped sky high and threw my toy across the crib.  I looked back in mommy's direction and puckered my lips.  She was laughing so hard.  She couldn't believe that she scared me like that.  Holly smokes, I thought my heart had stopped.  Don't do that again mommy!

Look at me mommy!

Today I showed my mommy that I can be on my belly and pull myself up to a sitting position.  I don't want to lie down any longer and now, when I don't want to lay, I just pull myself up and sit up.  It's great.  I can also put myself in a crawling position but I'm not quite sure what to do when I get there.  Mommy has tried to show me how to move my arms and legs but I don't get it.
