Our little man is sick

May 30th - Our poor little boy is under the weather.  He's got a temperature and he's just so itchy.  I just don't know what to do?

May 31st -  We went to Winchester today to see Grandma and Aunt Wendy.  It was a nice visit but Cody is still under the weather and now I am too.  I don't know what came over me but I was just exhausted.  

Since it's the end of the month I just wanted to briefly talk about what Cody's milestones were during the month of May.

He loves to be chased by Bear.  He'll take a piece of food and wave it in front of him. As soon as Bear notices, he'll goto grab the food from Cody's hand. Cody lifts up his arm so bear can't get it.  Then he runs and bear chases him.  You should see his face lite up. It's great.

He climbs up on the couch all by himself now.

He loves the remotes and turns the tv on and off constantly.

He really loves playing with trucks and cars.

He loves his new book that grandma got him called "all about me"  It's about a 6 page book.  Cody loves to sit in your lap while you read the book and point to his parts like his nose, hand, feet, lets, and hands.

He enjoys "family hugs"  I really have to get this on video.  It's adorable.

And last but not least, he is starting to dance when music comes on.  It's so cute to watch those little legs go.

He loves loves love the show 2 1/2 men and he sings part of the theme song.  Totally cute!

His new words for the month:

Noodle, Ear, Nose, Men - Men - Men and Owie.

A week without Cody

May 18th - We Skyped Cody.  He completely recognized us on Grandma's computer.  He pointed at us and he blew kisses at us.  It broke my heart but yet made me feel so good inside.

May 19th - Today I had lunch at work with my good friend and co-worker Chris.  He's transferring to Little Rock, AK.  He was one of my 1st friend when I moved from Phoenix to Virginia.  He's a good guy and I'll miss him.  Good luck buddie!

May 20th - Ken and I have been eating out like almost every night.  We miss Cody like crazy but are enjoying having nice meals at resturants that we haven't been to in a LONG time.

May 21st - Ken's mom taught Cody how to hug himself.  He puts his arms around his chest and shakes his body back and forth.  It's so cute.  We saw this for the 1st time on Skype tonight.  I'll have to video tape it and put it on my blog.  

May 23rd - Today my sister Wendy and I went shopping.  I got a dress for my 20 year high school reunion.  I just hope no one else will be wearing the same dress since I got it at the limited.   It was so much fun going out with Wendy and it be just the 2 of us.  

May 25th - It's memorial day!!!  We met grandma and grandad at Rick and Christine's house.

We were so happy to see Cody but he was not so excited to see me.  I was a little surprised.  He was completely loving grandma which is great but I did feel a little bummed.  But as time went by, he warmed up to me.  But he did seem to be a little under the weather.  It was a hot day out and he was overheated, flushed and itchy.  Poor little man.  

We're so happy he's HOME!!!  Thanks grandma for watching our little man for the week.

Bye-bye mommy and daddy

Today, Grammy and I left to goto PA.  Ms. Lusine decided to take a vacation so Grammy volunteered to take me to her house and babysit for the week.  So off we went.

Yard Sale

Today our community had a Yard Sale.  Grandma came down from PA to help us out Unfortunately, it rained this morning so it was kind of a wash!  Ha-ha.  Anyway, we closed up shop and went out for the day.  We went shopping for shrubs and plants then we went to Joe's Crab shack.  Mommy packed me a special meal and I ate it all.  Then in the back of Joe's crab shack there is a play yard area.  I had to go check it out.  There was a slide!!!!   How much fun !!!

When we got home the weather had cleared up.  I decided that I wanted to run around a bit outside.  I like to run on the sidewalk.  Anyway, on my way back, I fell down and scraped my knee.  My first wound!  I stood up, said OWIE!!! and pointed to my knee.  Grammy scooped me up and took me in.  They cleaned up my wound and I was back to running again.  This time, in the house.

I took my 18 month photos today.  Mommy will attach some photos as soon as she finds the CD she purchased.

18 month checkup

Today I had my 18 month check up with the pedi.  He checked me out and gave me a clean bill of health.  He was happy with my progress.  Mommy told him that I can say about 14 words now.  Of course I wasn't really interested in telling him all of them.  But he took mommy's word for it.

Going to mommy's work

Today mommy got a call from her office.  She had to finish a training video that she didn't finish and didn't realize that it had to be done today.  So, mommy took me to work with her so she could work on it.  All mommy's co-workers took turns watching me.  It took me a little bit to warm up to everyone but before I knew it, I was blowing kisses and waving.  I had a blast!

Tooth #9 coming in!

Today mommy was tickling me so of course I was laughing and laughing.  She saw something white in my mouth.  A TOOTH!!!!   Now to see where it is.  She put her finger in my mouth and felt all around the gum area.  Finally she found that it was the bottom right tooth and it's a BIG one!!  

Allergist Appointment

Sleepy Cody

Mommy caught me sleeping.  I'm using my favorite teddy bear as a pillow.  A 3 hour nap during the day sure does the body good.
