A Sunny day?!?!

Finally a sunny day!  So you know what that means right???  Mommy went crazy with the camera. She took a ton of photos of me today sporting my new seer sucker suit.  She's trying to get her famous holiday photo of me.  And after a few minutes....I think she got the perfect shot. We'll see.

I really enjoyed being outside and running around.  Mommy couldn't get me to stand still for one second.

Crayons

So tonight mommy, daddy, grandma and I went out to dinner at Ruby Tuesday.  The hostess brought a children's menu with crayons.  Mommy and daddy showed me how to use the crayons on the menu.  I picked up the crayon and started to scribble.  Mommy and daddy were shocked and so excited.  This is just the start of great things.

Beautiful flowers at Gram's house

So we were at Gram's house saying our final goodbyes when mommy saw these beautiful flowers in her garden.  As she was taking the photo, a bee flew in.  Can you see the bee?  I can.

A tribute to my great grandmother

Today is a very sad day.  My great grandmother - gram passed away.  I will forever miss her and I'm so glad that I had her in my life.

Here are some of my favorite pictures of her.  I love you Gram!

chicken potato chowder

Mommy and daddy are really pleased with this new receipe that mommy found.  The chicken potato chowder receipe isn't really "gluten free" but everything she put in it I could eat.  It had potatoes, cubed chicken, milk, carrots and celery.  The picture might not look yummy but it really was.  When mommy gets a chance, she'll post the receipe in case anyone wants to try it.

No more chairs

So mommy and daddy baby proofed the house months ago.  But when I started walking they had to secure the bottom of the stairs so they put 2 chairs in front of the stairs.  They can't install a baby gate cause our staircase is curved.  Anyway, I now like to pull the chairs away from the stairway and climb up them.  It was driving mommy nuts.  So today mommy decided to take the chairs away to see if I was interested in climbing the stairs.  She was right.  As soon as she moved the chairs, I stopped trying to climb up them.

Lasagna

Today my mommy made lasagna for dinner.   But instead of regular lasagna noodles she used my special gluten free rice lasagna noodle.  To all of our surprise, it was really good.   Both mommy and daddy were so happy that I liked it.  Now that's one more dinner item mommy gets to add to her gluten free menu for me.

Off to the doctor we go

So this morning mommy wakes me up as usual to goto Ms. Lusine's house.  Except this morning my eye had completed swelled up.  So she got me dressed, called Daddy to let him know that we were going to the doctor.  Mommy felt like the swelling was most likely from the bump on my brow bone yesterday afternoon but just in case it wasn't she thought might as well be safe than sorry.  So we went to the doctor and sure enough, that's what she said.  Since I bumped my brow bone and slept on it, it automatically swelled up.  It just looked worse than what it really was.  By the time I got out of the doctor's office, the swelling went down considerably.  Thank goodness because I could barely see.  Thanks mommy for taking good care of me.

Boo-Boo

Mommy got a big surprise when she picked me up today from Mrs. Lusine's house today.  I was chasing Isabella around the kitchen when I fell.  I hit my brow bone on the kiddie table.  Thank goodness it wasn't my eye.  So I have a swollen brow bone with a black and blue mark.  I'm sure this won't be the only wound I get when I'm chasing after a girl.

When we got home, mommy tried to put an ice pack on it and I screamed and cried.  It's still to tender to touch.   OUCH!

Complete meltdown

So it's really not my fault.  I didn't get my nap yesterday because we were at the Zoo.  I also went to bed late last night and woke up at my regular time this morning.  I'm starting to not want any of my usual food.  Mommy made my gluten free pancakes this morning and I threw most of it on the floor.  Aunt Wendy stopped by to see me today and we ran a few errands and then went to lunch.  Mommy was excited about going to famous Dave's since they cook their french fries in canola oil which I can eat.  So she got me grilled chicken and french fries.  I threw all the chicken on the floor and ate a few fries.  Mommy's starting to wonder if I'm super tired or just done with chicken.  I'm think I'm so done with CHICKEN!

So Aunt Wendy left.  I did have a good time with her.  We ran to a couple of stores and mommy was able to get me some summer stuff.  Last Monday I was outside walking in 6 inches of snow. Today I'm wearing a short sleeve top and jeans.  It's 70 degrees today but really windy.  I also got a pair of sandals.  They look just like dads.  So after Aunt Wendy left mommy put me upstairs for a nap but I was singing away.  So she took me to Walmart to get diapers.  When we got back she made me dinner.  This time carrots and Chicken.  MOMMY!!!  Let's get past feeding me chicken.  (It was leftovers so I don't blame her for pushing it on me)  So again, I threw it all on the floor.  (Did I tell you how much bear loves me know?)  I started crying and wanting out of my highchair.  I was rubbing my eyes while getting really fussy.  So mommy took me upstairs and gave me a bath.  She put my creams on.  My skin is so dry right now.  She put me in my crib and ran to get my medicine downstairs.  When she came upstairs, I was out cold. But boy was I having a huge meltdown before I crashed.

***  It's 7pm and I'm hoping Cody won't wake up in the middle of the night.  Since he didn't get a nap today or yesterday I'm praying that he'll sleep in till 6:30am so we can both get a full nights rest.  Let's keep our fingers crossed.  Good night!

The Washington Zoo

Today we went to the ZOO with Mrs. Martha, Megan and Matt.  We had a great time and I got to see some animals.  Mommy and daddy got a great workout walking all over the ZOO and chasing me.  I don't sit still anymore.  I'm a boy on the GO!

16 months old and a new blog

Today I'm 16 months old.  Mommy and daddy can hardly believe it.  I sure am keeping them buys by getting into everything.  I love to open doors - the linen closet, pantry door, coat closet, and bathroom doors.  So mommy found a special door handle that goes over our special door handles.  Now I can't even open the doors anymore.  Mommy giggles.  That's ok mommy, I'll figure it out eventually.  I also like to open up drawers and throw out whatever is in them.  No matter how many times mommy puts the stuff back in the drawer and shuts it, I come right back and pull everything out.  It drives her nuts cause she doesn't have it babyproofed yet so I can do it as much as I want.  I love sneaking up the stairs.  When mommy isn't looking I move the chairs in front of the stairs just enough to squeeze thru and by the time she realizes it, I'm half way up the stairs.  When I see her I get so excited that I climb even faster while she chases after me.  It's so funny.  I like to turn lights on and off.  I take my socks off really quick and un-velcro my shoes all of the time.  It's so much fun being a toddler.

Mommy's friend Rebecca started a blog especially for me.  It's gluten free/egg free/peanut free receipe's.  It was so nice of her to help mommy out.  They want to make sure I don't eat the wrong foods.  Here's the website if you'd like to check it out.  Http://allforcody.blogspot.com
 Thank you Mrs. Rebecca!

Our 1st snow storm of the year!

Today we got 6 inches of snow.  It was windy and cold but really neat.  Check it out!

Bear fell in by walking off the sidewalk.
I'm trying to stay on the sidewalk
I'm running but I can't see.  This hood is so big!
Our truck is completely covered
Daddy's shoveling it out of the way.  They have to goto work tomorrow.
