1st day at Gymnastics class

So today, I went to my 1st gymnastics class. Mommy signed me up thru parks and rec. While we were waiting for the teacher to show up there were a bunch of mommies and kids hanging out. Thank goodness I see 2 boys. I was starting to wonder if I was going to be the only boy in class. The mommies sitting next to us pulled out snacks for their kids. They were eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I don't know what that is but mommy told me in my ear that I was allergic so no touching. Anyway, the teacher showed up and we got to go inside. We had to take our shoes off and we all sat on a bunch of mats. The teacher explained to us was the class was about and did a roll call. Asking each mommy to introduce themself and their child. My mommy said, my name is Jen and this is Cody. I just smiled then went into crazy boy mode. Mommy was probably looking around at all the very well behaved little girls and noticing that me and another boy were acting crazy. The teacher started singing a few song and we were moving our legs and arms to warm up. This was kind of fun. Again, I just wanted to run.

The 1st thing I did was the balance beam. But I had to wait in line. I wasn't really wanting to do that but as soon as it was my turn, I showed them how fast I could walk across it. You see, we have railroad ties at my house that make up our walkway which also has bricks. I'm always practicing walking on the big wood beams. I got to hang from a bar, jump on a trampoline, walk on a raise platform holding the parallel bars and a few other things. It was really cool.
At the end of class, we got in a circle, sang a few more songs and after I put my shoes on, I got 2 stickers for a job well done. I think I'm going to like this class. Thanks for signing me up mommy!
